Anne Phung Nguyen

Anne Phung Nguyen, a Vietnamese American businesswoman, lives in Orange County California. I have a lovely fiance called JP and a frightened dad Henry. My Instagram account, @annephung, is where the majority of my followers are. I write about my day-to-day life, both positive and negative. The year 1990 was the time I emigrated to America along with my parents and brother when I turned one and half. If it wasn't for my parents' love of dedication and hard work, I probably wouldn't even be here sharing my story. In order to give them an opportunity to live a successful future, I focused on success and worked hard to get there. There was a specific plan for me for my life: university and get a corporate job, marry, purchase a house and have kids. Although I was convinced that this was the standard for the ideal life, reality had other strategies. It was 2013 when I found that I hated going to work in my job as a corporate employee. Status and money did make me feel happy. I thought I was just wasting my time in exchange for money. I was passionate about exercising and enjoyed being social and helping others when I was navigating the new direction in my life. I discovered my passion for personal training. My small business was started in 2014 and I'll be celebrating 7 years of success in 2021. Very few Asian women have a job in the fashion industry. My mission in this field is to build a more durable and healthy lifestyle that meets the needs of my customers. Additionally, I want to encourage people to pursue their dreams and do whatever they would like to achieve in their lives. In the beginning of my career, the death of my mom was the most devastating loss to me. In Heaven she is now in peace following an eight-year fight against Scleroderma. But I still carry the memory of her daily. Life's lessons often go unnoticed yet they can prove highly beneficial. The passing of my mother has altered my life in a variety of ways. I truly believe that her death gave me an opportunity to begin the next chapter. It was Tet/Lunar New Year Day when she died. She had her chance to embark on a new journey which gave me my second shot at an enjoyable and satisfying life. As I approach my 30s, I have a sense that I am alive and living. I'm not feeling as if I'm just a mere existence anymore. As I tell my story I hope my words will resonate with yours. I hope that my words will make you aware that you're not alone. That you have the capacity to succeed in everything you desire. I hope that you enjoy the life you want to live and that you die without regrets because dying is the only thing that is promised to all of us during our lives.
